When your goal is to gain muscles it’s very common to use a high split program. Which means that every muscle will be trained every 5-7th day. Which is the same way most professional bodybuilders workout. But for “normal” people that isn’t used to workout everyday, it’s better to train the same muscle more often. “Back to basics” is therefor based on the simple 2-split push/pull program, where each muscle it trained at least 2 times a weak.
